European Drag Reduction and Flow Control Meeting

All laminar & turbulent drag reduction and flow & noise control studies, including: riblets and surface roughness, compliant walls, polymer & surfactant additives, synthetic jets, super-hydrophobic surfaces, flexible structures, wall oscillations, traveling waves, flow separation control, plasma flow control and electro-magnetic control.

Selected contributions from this meeting will have the opportunity to contribute to a theme issue of FTaC (Springer), after following the full review process. 

Meeting Venue

The meeting will be held in Villa Mondragone, former summer residence of the Pope, in Monte Porzio Catone (some 20km SE Rome), Italy.


Many hotels and different accomodation solutions are available in the near town of Frascati. Some are at walking distance. See the Accomodation page for further details and a list of suggested hotels.

The registrationun fee is £260 (reduced fee of £225 for ERCOFTAC members), which includes coffees/teas and lunches over the 4-day meeting, a Book of Abstract and a conference dinner.



We encourage the attendance of PhD students and young researchers, for which a limited number of scholarships are available. To qualify, you must present a paper at the meeting. You must also ask your PhD supervisor to send an e-mail to support your application to: kwing-so.choi@nottingham.ac.uk. The scholarship award will be announced during the meeting.
